I'm so ...Congratulations on your NaNoWriMo win. I'm so proud of your accomplishment and tickled pieces about my own, too. I have a good piece of work as a result of the whole endeavor and am in the editing process right now. You're so right about the writing process. I started without any plan whatsover, created a couple of characters, and then let my characters tell me their story. All I did was write it down. It was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process.Junie Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08561131734782279400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15363790.post-72915328130863450952009-12-03T11:51:20.831-08:002009-12-03T11:51:20.831-08:00I'm sorry. I had a similar experience with Nano '09 (my first year) - not nearly as heart wrenching, sleep depriving or caffeinne consuming as I thought it would be...or planned on. It felt like strolling through a semi interesting town for 26 or so miles, stopping for Cafe au lait in the AM and nice glass of wine at night. Then, I crossed the literary marathon finish line - not winded at all. And behold, it was also crap. I also had crazy characters take over my fingers while typing... but no blue boobies!

I'm not finished with the novel. No way to say "El Fin" at where I am when I crossed the finish line with 50,088 unless I go all Mayan and say that the world ended. So December vacation is for finishing the damn thing, January and February is for ignoring it. And since my last frost date isn't until May 15th, I'll have plenty o' time to edit in March. Congrats on being a winner anyway!Jenn'ferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05835669065014711924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15363790.post-18115365481761127712009-12-03T09:06:59.232-08:002009-12-03T09:06:59.232-08:00You're going to get some really interesting Go...You're going to get some really interesting Google search hits from this post . . .

P.S. I tried three different novels and ended up with something like 12,000 in total but the flue just took it out of me.Deccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04515274049604839002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15363790.post-80755234433080288272009-12-02T18:37:11.292-08:002009-12-02T18:37:11.292-08:00Hmmmm, with whores AND three blue boobies, you sho...Hmmmm, with whores AND three blue boobies, you shouldn't have to make ANY suggestive remarks to Bubba.
